Week of April 24th

This week we turned in our film, the PSA, to the film festival. We also practiced the dance moves for the music video and we started discussing the schedule for filming. We also discussed if we should film our next film while we are practicing the dance moves so we don't lose time. We have been practicing in the west quad the whole week. That is mostly all we did the week of the 24th.

The Week of April 17th

This week we pitched our music video and our action film. We chose the song we are going to use in the music video, a spanish song. We then started choreographing the dance moves of the music video. Most of this week we have spent in the dark side practicing and changing the dance moves. We already have around one minute of the dance and we hope that our choreographer has the moves for the whole song done by Monday so that we can just practice and perfect it next week and hopefully start filming. That is what we have done on the week of April 17th.

Week of April 10th

       This week we re-filmed our PSA and finished it. I like how it came out. The scenes are less choppy and they look well together. The song goes with the theme of living life that we have for the film and it is under the one minute requirement. The scenes are all mostly in the park and its about people doing stuff that they enjoy and essentially living life to the fullest. We got many different people in the scenes and so I feel that it looks better because its not just one group of people, the diversity makes it seem more real. We also started planning for our second film. Its going to be a music video in a carnival and its going to be about finding love unexpectedly. We already have the basics of what the story in the video is going to be so now we are looking for the song. That is what my team and I did in the week of April 10.

Week of April 3rd

This week we redid our PSA. We decided to change the theme to enjoying life because we believed it would be easier to get shots of children playing, and people hugging, and smiling, than the shots of doing acts of kindness. Especially because the acts of kindness always turned out to be too long and we didn't like how the scenes came out when we cut them to make them fit into the one minute limit. So we planned our new PSA and we decided that today and Sunday we are going to film for the PSA. We also started planning our second film which would be a narrative action film. We started the story boards and started getting the supplies for the second film. And we decided around which days we are going to practice and film for the action film. We would start acting and practicing next week and the week after that we would start filming. That is what we did on the week of april.
