Week of March 22nd

My production company, Stellar Productions, is currently working on a PSA. My members, Alejandra Leal, Ailyn, Rafael, Kevin, Maritza, and I worked out the theme of the PSA and planned out the scenes that we would film. Our PSA is about caring, being thoughtful of others, and trying to bring an uplifting mode. We filmed the PSA at Salt Lake Park on Tuesday and we have been editing the scenes since then. We are considering re-filming some scenes but we aren't sure yet, so far that is all we have done this week for our PSA.

What Music Means to Me

Music to me is a way to relax. When i want to block out the noise around me, or I'm too lazy to find something to do, I listen to music. Its my entertainment on car rides and I listen to it when I can't fall asleep. Sometimes, when i hear the beat or lyrics of a certain song, I'm inspired to write. And whenever I'm stuck on my writing, but I don't want to give up on the story yet, i listen to music for inspiration. Music, to me, isn't something that i absolutely need, that i can't live without, but it is something that helps me with my anti-drug and it can fill up the quiet, or block out the noise, when i need it to. It helps me focus and it inspires me, so its important to me.

Problems and Struggels

There are many problems and struggles students at Bell High can face. From hard classes, to bullying, to money troubles, to parent hood. The most common, I believe, would be the classes. Most students are having trouble in at least one class. They either don't understand the instruction or don't understand their homework, and many of them try to brave through it on their own without seeking help, because many are not used to asking for help and receiving it. Another problem faced by some students at this school would be bullying. Bullying is everywhere, no matter how big or small the school is there is always one person being bullied. This is a problem because bullying can lead to a lot of different outcomes, form low self esteem, to depression, to some extreme cases where some kids may become suicidal. These are some of the problems that affect Bell High students.

The Most Interesting Person in the World

To me the most interesting person would have to be my cousin Mayra. When she was younger she had traveled to Europe through the study abroad program in her college and so she has many stories of all the places she's visited and the things she's done. To me it seems interesting because I want to travel too and to hear my cousin's stories inspires me to actually accomplish my goal.

My cousin also has many theories and interesting ideas about so many topics that we could talk about anything for hours together. I learned a lot from my cousin and although she is married, has children, and lives in miami now whenever we meet up she has always has time to talk to me and always has some new story to tell me. She is my role model and when I was younger she was my world. She isn't my world now but she still inspires me to be my best and she always knows what to say to capture my attention.
